Visit me Nov 6th and 7th for Art Studio Tour
My gallery and studio, Arts on Union, 203 N. Union St., Middletown, is one of the 32 central Pennsylvania artists on the upcoming, free Art Studio Tour. The event, in its 12th year, will take place Saturday, Nov. 6 from 10 am. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 7 from noon to 5 p.m. and is designed to offer the public the chance to meet and support local artists by visiting the studios in which they work.
United Way Exhibit Begins State Tour
A “Collage of a Commonwealth” featuring artwork based on photographs of the impact United Way has had in Pennsylvania communities debuts today in the Capitol Rotunda at 11 a.m. Following today’s press conference and exhibition opening, the art will tour the state for a year.

The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen today features my studio and gallery in its blog. If you see the green and white flag flying outside 203 North Union St., Middletown, I am definitely IN. Sunday in the Garden
Jay is the garden artist and I am thankful for his prowess with plants and flowers. Yesterday, I spent hours outside in our garden with my cameras, the birds, butterflies, flowers, sunshine and changing light.

in this age of digital photography, some people tend to think everyone is a photographer and such beliefs devalue the craftsmanship we put into our work. Of course, photography has always had a bit of a reputation as not being among the so-called “high arts.” That high-brow attitude sends me into rants.
