On Multi-tasking September 21, 2003 I am many artists. One day I may be author or author/photographer. On another, I may be text and photo designer. The following afternoon may find me wearing the hats of editor and publisher. Today, I was all of the above. Since making the decision to become a multimedia artist, I have struggled with who and what I am in both personal and professional aspects. I focus on allowing myself to be conscious of but not fight the changes occuring within and without me. Take it a day at a time, I tell myself, and see where the days take you. Last week, somewhere among motherhood, work, reading theory and thinking, I redesigned my homepage several times. The entire time I was designing, which is a task I mostly enjoy, new scenes for Sister Stories were writing themselves in my mind. Interesting things are happening to me. I must remember to allow these transitions without fear of where I might end up.
